Case Study: Event Coordination for Jockey Club Community eHealth Care Project Finale and Fun Day

With Hong Kong’ s population ageing, the need for effective health management among older people continues to grow. The Jockey Club Community eHealth Care Project (“the Project”) was initiated and funded by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust and in partnership with The Chinese University of Hong Kong (“CUHK”) and 45 NGOs in 2016. With elderly centres as the first point of contact, the Project utilised digital technology to support the elderly in managing chronic diseases and promote healthy ageing.

On September 26, 2025, the Project Finale and Fun Day were held at D·PARK, Tsuen Wan, which united the CUHK, 157 elderly centres from 45 NGOs and concluded milestone achievements over the past nine years. In addition, over 1,000 older adults joined the Fun Day, engaging in emerging sports and other activities to reinforce knowledge gained through the Project and further encourage proactive self-health management. Team Prologue was honoured to deliver full-scale event support for this milestone occasion, providing comprehensive services:

He was pleased that the project has expanded across more than 100 elderly centres in Hong Kong, conducting health assessments, educational programs, and service referrals that empower seniors from diverse backgrounds to better understand and manage their health.

Ms Jenny YAN, Assistant Director (Elderly) of the Social Welfare Department, delivered the opening address in the ceremony of Project Finale.

She pointed out, “Hong Kong is facing the challenge of an ageing population, with the number of elderly people continuing to rise. The government attaches great importance to the physical, mental, and spiritual well-being of older adults. The Jockey Club Community eHealth Care Project aligns with government policies on healthy ageing and medical-social collaboration. Making good use of the widespread availability of elderly centres over the territory, it supports older adults in managing chronic diseases, promotes healthy and active ageing, and encourages healthy lifestyle habits. It is hoped that all stakeholders will work together so that elders can enjoy their later years in familiar communities.”

The officiating guests, Advisory Committee’s members of the Jockey Club Community eHealth Care Project, representatives from over 40 NGO partners and CUHK joined for a group photo to commemorate the event.
