Now in its sixth edition, ADHD Awareness Week 2025 highlighted the connection between ADHD and mental health. Through a series of free online and physical seminars, and citywide lightbox and escalator advertisements across the MTR network, the campaign successfully engaged the public. A two-day education fun day was held at Fortune Metropolis in Hung Hom for the first time, featuring free adult ADHD screening along with a variety of interactive activities and seminars. The event allowed participants to gain a deeper understanding of ADHD through fun experiences.
This year, Team Prologue once again partnered with the Let's Talk ADHD Association, providing comprehensive support in media relations, including media invitations, on-site reception assistance, writing and blasting press releases, and arranging media interviews featuring the association’s founder, ADHD cases, and family members, doctors. The event received extensive coverage from major media outlets such as the South China Morning Post, Commercial Radio, RTHK, and Ming Pao, further raising public awareness and understanding of ADHD.

The event was held from October 25 to 26, 2025, Dr. Tsang Tsz-chung, Chief Manager (Integrated Clinical Services) of the Hospital Authority, and Ms. Amanda Fok, Founder of Let's Talk ADHD Association, both expressed at the opening ceremony their hope that the event would help remove stigma and foster greater public understanding of the experiences of individuals with ADHD and their caregivers.
Dr. Tsang Tsz-chung, Chief Manager (Integrated Clinical Services) of the Hospital Authority, noted that it was encouraging to see different sectors of society organizing various initiatives, including this year’s ADHD Awareness Week organized by Let's Talk ADHD Association, to help the public better understand ADHD and the needs of those affected. The Hospital Authority would continue to work closely with partners to raise public awareness of mental health, reduce stigma, and promote cross-disciplinary mental health support, to build a healthier Hong Kong together.

Ms. Amanda Fok, Founder of Let's Talk ADHD Association, said that having the courage to face and assess ADHD was a key step toward improving symptoms and mental well-being. That was why the Association introduced on-site adult ADHD assessments for the first time, allowing the public to receive free evaluations. In addition, she hoped to raise awareness of the mental health needs of individuals with ADHD and their caregivers, so that they could access the appropriate support they deserve.

This year’s ADHD Awareness Week invited Mr. Shawn Cheung, a former Hong Kong Fencing Athlete, and Mr. Him Law, an actor, to serve as ADHD Awareness Week ambassadors. Both attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches, actively encouraging the public to pay greater attention to ADHD and mental health issues.
The Association also partnered with the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology’s research team on adult ADHD and depression to conduct the public adult ADHD assessment at the event. Using infrared brain scanning technology, the assessment analyzed participants’ frontal and temporal lobe functions. Follow-up services and full evaluations were provided for participants who required further support.
In addition to the free assessments, the venue featured an experience zone offering mindfulness activities and board games, giving adults with ADHD and their families a “stress-free” weekend while promoting emotional wellness for caregivers. The event also saw the return of the popular Attention-Controlled Brainwave Robot Race, where participants of all ages controlled robots using brainwaves - a fun activity designed to simulate the challenges faced by individuals with attention difficulties.
This year’s program also included a unique stand-up comedy show performed by three artists with ADHD, offering audiences a humorous yet heartfelt glimpse into their world. Various game booths and professional support stations were also set up on-site to provide one-stop assistance and resources for those in need.
